Harvest View riders
compete in pace events
The Lancaster County Pace Event is scheduled for Sunday, October
24th and will again benefit the Lancaster Mounted Police. The event
will take place in Lancaster County Park, and it will mark the fourth
such event that our group has attended this season.
We enjoyed riding in three hunter paces earlier this summer. Our first
was with the Elkridge-Harford Hounds in Maryland, where Hannah
and Hot John and Cindy and Delight rode together. Next was the
Benefit Hunter Pace at Tranquillity Manor Farms in Maryland. Hannah
and Hot John and Cindy and Delight competed as a team on the flat
and took third place, then Cindy joined her friend, Tammy, over fences
and took second place. Hannah and a group of juniors competed
over fences and won third.
Our most recent event was the Hunt Cap Paper Chase in York where
Hannah and Cindy riding Hot John and Delight won first place in their
division. Robin and Ricky and Jen and Murphy also enjoyed the
six-plus mile cross-country ride and the tailgate that followed.
If you would like to participate in the Lancaster County event, please
get in touch with Cindy. This is definitely the fun stuff!
