| Delight competes in his first Baby Novice Event OPRC Rally held at Tranquillity Manor Farms Delight made his eventing debut on June 25th in Monkton, MD when he and Cindy competed in the Baby Novice Division of an OPRC Rally. The rally consisted of riding a dressage test, followed by the cross-country jumping phase and the stadium jumping phase. The fence heights for the division were between 2' and 2'3". Delight was very relaxed throughout the event and finished fourth out of nine in the dressage phase. He had a few stops in both cross-country and stadium phases, so he received no score for those phases. We still had a wonderful time, however, and Delight seemed to thoroughly enjoy himself, especially in the cross-country phase. We're very excited about trying it again in the near future! | The cross-country phase is fun! |
Ringside distractions gave us a little trouble with this fence, but he jumped it nicely once he got his eye off the judge!
The cutest and sweetest prepares for his dressage test.
Delight canters nicely to the next fence...a stone wall.
A downhill approach to a logpile was the first jump on the cross-country course.
He was happy to jump the little coop.
