| Congratulations to Maria and Ziggy, who put in a beautiful showing at the July Hunt Cap Schooling Show on Wednesday, July 20th. Zig had previous successes in the Walk-Trot divisions, but this success in the Pleasure Division was a major breakthrough for our boy. Maria did a lovely job riding him, and he even bravely jumped the flowered crossrails in the grass ring. (Those who know Zig understand what an accomplishment this was for him!) Jesse and Dex, along with Allie and Buck participated in the Walk-Trot Open division. Jesse won two equitation ribbons, and was extremely happy with Dex's performance, which seems to improve with every ride. Allie won an equitation ribbon and a pleasure ribbon with Buck, who was very happy to be back at a horse show again. There was stiff competition in the Junior Equitation Division, and Anna and Dotz and Billy and Calvin did a really good job but came home without ribbon. Still, their rides improved over the last show, and they look forward to competing in our next outing. Congratulations to our riders, and thank you to parents who provided liquid refreshments, a shady awning and help with clean-up once we returned to the barn. We appreciate all you do! |
