The sixth running of Maryland Junior Hunt Cup was held at Shawan Downs on April 30, 2006. This
event was started to encourage juniors to participate in horse racing. The day included junior relay
races, pony flat races, junior field master chases, a leadline trot race, and a stick pony race.
Harvest View riders included Billy on Calvin, Lauren on Dotz and Michelle on Zombie riding under the
team name "Billy and the Babes".
Families enjoyed a relaxing day in the country cheering on the jockeys of tomorrow as they
participated in this friendly competition. Proceeds from the Maryland Junior Hunt Cup benefit the Land
Preservation Trust (LPT) and the North American Pt-to-Pt Association (NAPPA).
