Buccaneer wins Master's Class and Championship at
Tranquillity Manor Farms Hunter Trials
Buck and Hot John win Hunt Pairs!
It was a picture-perfect riding day at Tranquillity Manor
Farm's annual Hunter Trials on Sunday,  November
5th. Hannah and Cindy took Hot John and Buck to the
Monkton, MD, farm to participate in the cross-country
event that included a flat class to benefit Lost & Found
Horse Rescue.
Buck did the Beaufort Hunt proud, as he put in a terrific
performance over the cross-country course. Because of
Buck's age (22), he shows in the two-foot divisions,
and Sunday was Buck's day to shine. He won first
place in the Adult Field Hunter class, second in Open
Field Hunter, and he and John won first after their
fabulously-fun round in the Hunt Pairs class. They flew
over the final fence side by side, Hannah and Cindy
laughing all the way.
First through third place winners were eligible for the
Master's Class, which was run like a Handy Hunter
class, complete with trot fences, a hand gallop and a
halt and then on to another trot fence. Buck put in a
winning performance and came home with the
challenge trophy that will be engraved with his name.
Hannah and John had a blast in the 2'6" divisions,
bringing home a fifth place ribbon in the Open Field
Hunter class.
It was a terrific day to ride, especially at Tranquillity,
home to many, many Lost & Found horses. It was a
great way to wrap up our competition season.
Hannah and John (pictured above and below) looked brilliant
galloping around the cross-country course.
Home after a long, fun day. Hannah and John and Cindy and Buck
with the day's winnings.
Not quite together...Buck and John were almost together at the Hunt Cap
Hunter Trials Pair Class, pictured above, but on Sunday, November 5th, they
nailed that final fence. (Sadly, we don't have a picture...but take our word for
it...it was really cool!)
